Ik zoek
a room in a shared apartment or house near EPFL, starting in February 2027. I'm also finding flatmates to rent an apartment together. My budget is up to CHF 1,200 per month, including utilities. I prefer a quiet, clean and friendly home, ideally shared with students or young professionals. As I'm not very used to cafeteria food, I plan to cook most of my meals at home. I'd like to be able to return home for lunch or dinner when possible. Therefore, convenient transportation to EPFL is my top priority, ideally around 20 minutes by public transport or bicycle. I'd prefer a well-equipped kitchen and a private bathroom, although sharing a bathroom is also acceptable. A shower would be preferable to a bathtub. Finally, I'm looking for a long-term stay of at least one year.

a 27-year-old male from China. I recently completed my PhD in mainland China and will start working as a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL. I expect to stay in Switzerland for the next 3~4 years. I speak English and Mandarin, and I'm currently trying my best to learn French. I'm calm, respectful and a non-smoker. I enjoy cooking and keeping my living space comfortable. I'm happy to socialize with flatmates while also respecting everyone's privacy. I'm an animal lover, especially cats and dogs. I have two cats back home, haha!
